Cliff Auten, D.D.S.

Dr. Auten is a native of Whitney he graduated from Whitney High School in 1970 and married Annette that summer. After attending Hill Jr. College, Texas A&M University and Baylor College of Dentistry, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1977. After graduation, he moved back to Whitney and opened his practice on July 4, 1977. Dr. Auten provides general dentistry care such as cleanings, filling, crown and bridge work, extractions, full and partial dentures, implants and some root canals. He treats emergency care patients daily. As for his practice philosophy, he has adopted the prayer of Jabez found in I Chronicles 4:10, “Dear Lord, I pray that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” Dr. Auten and staff welcome new patients and promise to do the best we can to properly take care of those who come to us. Away from the office, Dr. Auten enjoys gardening and spending time with his family.

Dee Karr, R.D.H.

Dee is a graduate of Whitney High School and received her degree as a Dental Hygienist from Tarrant County Jr College in 1987. She and her husband Kwen are proud parents of three daughters, two sons-in-law and three grandchildren. They are members of Whitney Fellowship and are happy to call Whitney home. After working 33 years in the dental field, Dee joined Dr. Auten in 2019 and strives to provide quality, compassionate care to all patients.

Melissa Yeager, R.D. H.

Melissa is originally from Indiana, but migrated to Texas where her husband is from. She is the wife of a Coast Guardsman who is soon to be retired after 20 years of service. She is the mother to three wonderful kids. Her oldest son is also in the Coast Guard and the two younger attend Whitney ISD. Melissa was a dental assistant for fourteen years, then furthered her education graduating Dental Hygiene school at Coastal Bend College in 2013. Melissa enjoys hanging out with her family and watching her kids play sports.

Trena Booth, R. D. A.

Trena is a lifelong resident of the Whitney Hillsboro area. She graduated from Texas State Technical College in 2000 as a Registered Dental Assistant and joined Dr. Auten in 2006. She not only works as a Dental Assistant but is also cross trained at the front desk. Trena and her husband Tim have three wonderful children Kylie, Zane and Brance. She loves watching her children participate in sports and shopping.

Andrea Nelson, R.D.A.

Andrea is a native of the area. She graduated from Texas State Technical College’s Dental Assistant program in 2007. Andrea joined our staff in 2009. She enjoys being a part of the staff and says it’s like a small family. She is the mother of 2 wonderful children who are very active in sports. Andrea’s interests include spending time with her family, traveling and being involved in her church activities.

Kara Sneed, R.D. A., Front Office

Kara was born and raised in Whitney. She has been a Dental Assistant with Dr. Auten since 1997 where she was trained in the office and is also cross trained at the front desk. She and her husband Jason enjoy watching their children in sports and spending time with their families. Kara loves baking and time at the gym. She and her family are members of Whitney Fellowship.

Ayme Delara, R.D.A., Front Office

Ayme has lived in the Whitney area for the past eight years. She graduated from Whitney High School in 2011 and from ATI’s Dental Assisting School in 2012. Ayme joined our team in 2013 as one our bi-lingual team members. You will find her at our front desk always happy to assist our patients with all their scheduling needs. She and her husband Luis have one energetic son. Ayme’s interests include spending time with her family and watching movies.

Annette Auten, Office Manager

Annette has been with the practice since 1986 in various capacities. First as a dental assistant, then front office and now as the office manager, she also takes care of filing the insurance for our patients. She and her husband Dr. Auten have been married for over 45 years they have four children and at last count 14 grandchildren. Annette’s hobbies include baking, sewing, traveling and spending a lot of time with her family. She and her husband attend Whitney Family Fellowship.
